Chapter Summaries: Genesis Chapter 40 Summary

Welcome back to part three of the Joseph story. It is part of Genesis chapter 40 summary as Joseph goes to jail and finds his gift there. While in jail, Joseph became able to help inmates with dream interpretations. He told the meaning of a dream of two prominent men in jail.

They were all down and sad by the dreams they had and Joseph reminded them that dream interpretations belong to God. Joseph then proceeded to tell them to tell him their dream. The one man’s fortune was good. He was going to be released from jail and work in the house of the Pharaoh.

For the other man, his was fatal; he would be summoned and killed for his crimes. To the man who was going to the house of Pharaoh, Joseph told the man to remember him.

Genesis Chapter 40 Summary

To the other, well, he … nevermind. It took two years for the man promoted to Pharaoh’s house to remember Joseph. He left Joseph in jail until it benefits him. To be continued. This is the summary of Genesis chapter 40.
