Whosoever Hateth His Brother is a Murderer

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer is a scripture taken right out of the book of John.

John wrote about love and how our fruits show if we are truly from God or if we are faking this thing by just calling on the name of God.

It is a long battle for righteousness for a lot of people. Many people simply do not want to let go of evil that happened to them in the past. Let’s say, for instance, a brother ignorantly thought I did or said something about him and his family. Let’s say I didn’t say those things.

Without clearly addressing me as a brother in Christ, he began to rail on me. Slander my name, and finally approach me and smote me on the face. After this, he learns of the truth of the matter and feels bad.

He apologized to me. And being a man of God, I forgive him… and we continue on.

Whosoever Hateth His Brother is a Murderer Especially without a Cause

But let’s say, instead of being a man of God, I forgive him outwardly by saying, “Sure everything is cool, no problem, it was a misunderstanding.” We appear cool on the surface, but inwardly I am not settled.

I want to slander him back. I want to rail on him. I want to smite him on his cheek. Inwardly, I hate my brother.

Can it be so, to be a man or woman of God?

Whosoever Hateth His Brother is a Murderer

He calls to speak with me, but I answer not and call him back not, am I doing the workings of a man of God? This is not how to love. John writes  in I John 3:

15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer, and we all know that no murderer has eternal life waiting on them. It would be sad to be judged by the great Judge, just for hating, and not acting on your hate. It is kind of like, you might as well have killed the person as much as you visualized it in your mind than to pretend all was well.

Remember the words of Jesus…

Matthew 5

21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

In the old days, it was plain, thou shalt not kill. Nevertheless, Jesus said whoever is angry with his brother/sister without a cause will be in the hot seat when it comes to judgment.

Are you ready to take that up with the judge? Are you ready to deal with that at the time appointed? Then fix it today, right now, and don’t be a free walking murderer, because whosesoever hateth his brother is a murderer!
