The Pursuit And Rewards Of Wisdom

Welcome to BibleStudyMinistry.com, an online Bible Supplement Source; today we have wisdom scriptures, The Pursuit And Rewards Of Wisdom.

Here is Wisdom:

Wisdom extends powerfully from one end of the world to the other, and she gently arranges everything. I loved her and pursued her from my youth; I longed to make her my companion and was captivated by her beauty.

Because she is close to the Almighty, her nobility is even greater. The Almighty Creator of all things Himself loves her. She comprehends the mysteries of the Creator’s knowledge and deeply loves His works.

If riches are something to be desired in this life, then what could be more valuable than wisdom? She brings everything into being. And if skill is what produces results, who could be a more skilled craftsman than she? If a person loves righteousness, then her work is full of virtue, for she teaches temperance, prudence, justice, and courage—the most valuable qualities anyone can possess in life.

Wisdom as a Companion

If someone seeks great experience, she knows the wisdom of the past and can accurately predict what’s to come. She understands the nuances of speech and can interpret hidden meanings. She foresees signs and wonders, and understands the flow of seasons and time.

That’s why I decided to make her my companion, knowing she would be a guide for good things and a comfort in times of care and grief. Because of her, I will be respected among the crowd and honored by the elders, even though I am young.

I will be recognized for my sharp judgment and admired by influential people. When I stay silent, they will wait patiently for me to speak, and when I do, they will listen closely. If I speak at length, they’ll be so impressed that they’ll be left speechless.

The Path to Immortality

Through her, I will achieve immortality and leave behind a legacy that will be remembered by generations to come. I will bring order to the people, and nations will follow my lead. Even the most terrifying tyrants will fear me when they hear my name. I will be respected by the masses and proven brave in battle.

When I return home, I’ll find peace in her company, for her presence brings no bitterness—only happiness and joy. As I thought about this, reflecting deeply in my heart, I realized that being close to wisdom is the path to immortality.

It’s a great joy to have her as a friend, and her works bring endless riches. In discussions with her, there is prudence, and in conversation with her, a good reputation. So, I set out to find a way to make her a part of my life.

I was a clever child with a good spirit.

In fact, being good, I was born into an undefiled body. But when I realized that I couldn’t have wisdom unless the Almighty granted her to me—and discernment that even recognizing her as a gift was part of wisdom—I prayed to the Almighty and earnestly asked Him, pouring out my whole heart.
