The Book Of The Generations Of Jacob

And the books were opened series continues with the book of the generations of Jacob (or Akobe).

Genesis 37:1-2 KJV

[1] And Akobe dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan. [2] These are the generations of Akobe. Joseph (Osef, Yosef), being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; the lad was with the sons of Bilha, and with the sons of Zilpa, his father’s wives: and Yosef brought unto his father their evil report.

After the generations of Esau, it is logical and chronological that we move into the generations of Akobe. The Generations of Akobe is the story of the children of Akobe, which is indeed the story of the majority of the Bible. The generations of Akobe begin by revealing the story of Akobe’s sons and their dealings with Yosef.

In particular, how his brothers sold him into Egypt before they were going to leave him for dead. In this generation, we would also learn how Judah (Juda) married a woman named Shuah but she was a Canaanite, something Abram was strongly against for Isaaka. Two of Juda’s sons died, but his third son, Shela, squeaked by.

The woman and wife Juda attempted to give to his first two sons was not a Canaanite.

Instead, she was from the land of Ur or Padan Aram. Her name was Tamar, and she found a way to get rid of her shame. The shame was for her not to be able to become pregnant and have children. So after missing out on the promise to wed Shela, she found a way to become pregnant by Juda himself.

This in itself is strange because Juda would become her father-in-law and “baby-daddy.” She had two sons for Juda, Pharez, from whom the family name Pharisees came, and another son named Zara (the Zaraites). The Anointed One came from the bloodline Pharez according to the records in Matthew and Luke.

The generations of Akobe provide us with the accounts of Yosef and Potiphar, his boss. They also provide the accounts of his boss’s wife and her amorous affection for Yosef. She was a false witnessing, lustful, adulterous, lying wife, and because of the integrity of Yosef, she had him jailed. The trials and tribulations Yosef had to endure until his gift, met with opportunity, kicked in; the gift was interpreting dreams.

This gift eventually led him to become the viceroy of Egypt.

This event reconnected him with his family, delivering them from famine in Canaan, and moving the story of Akobe into Egypt. Egypt was the world power at the time. Again, many records shed light on the story of the generations of Akobe, who is called Israel (Yasharal) in the Bible, erroneously.

Technically, we just went through the book of Genesis, which we should now consider a fragmented book of the histories or generations of certain patriarchal heads. The fragments started with Adam and just ended with Akobe, who is the grandson of Abram the Bantu.

The next manuscript we recommend reading immediately after Genesis is the Book of Jubilees. Although this book was not mentioned in the Bible, such as the Book of Jasher, we recommend putting it side-by-side with the book of Genesis.

This will provide Spirited considerations for you!

We recommend this because, in the book of Jubilees, Moses was given an account of the creation until his time in dealing with the Bantus of Akobe. Therefore, the fragments of the generations of the families we just read would have to somewhat blend or meet each other. It is only then you can see for yourself what may have been omitted and what may have been added. Does this make sense? We sure hope so.
