Welcome to BibleStudyMinistry.com, your online Bible Study supplement source. Today we have an exhortation on Isaiah 43:14-17: The Almighty’s Power and Faithfulness
In these verses, the Almighty, our Redeemer and the Holy One of Akobe, declares His sovereignty and power over the nations and circumstances that seem insurmountable. The Almighty reminds His people that He is not just a distant God or Divine Power but their personal Redeemer who acts for their sake. He has sent judgment to Babylon, humbling their nobles and silencing the pride of the Chaldeans. This act demonstrates that no power, no empire, and no adversary is beyond His control.
“I am the Almighty, your Holy One, the creator of Abantu, your King.”
Here, the Almighty reaffirms His identity as not only the Creator but also the King of His people. He is the one who called Akobe into existence, and He reigns supreme over all. This declaration is a reminder that our Redeemer is not just any king—He is the Holy One, set apart in His majesty, righteousness, and power.
“Thus saith the Almighty, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters.”
The Almighty reminds the house of Akobe of His miraculous power displayed in the past—particularly the parting of the Sea. He is the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way, who turns impossible situations into testimonies of His greatness. Just as He delivered the house of Akobe from the Egyptians, He promises to deliver His people from future oppressors.
“Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.”
The Almighty speaks of His absolute power over the mightiest of armies. Chariots, horses, and entire armies that stand against His people will be brought to nothing—they will fall and never rise again. He extinguishes their power like a candlewick, swiftly and completely.
Application: Trust in the Almighty’s Power and Faithfulness
These verses are a powerful reminder that the Almighty is not only our Redeemer but also our Defender. When nations, circumstances, or adversaries rise against us, the Almighty moves on our behalf, making a way through impossible waters and crushing the forces that seek to oppress us.
Let this be an encouragement to you today: no matter what you face, the Almighty is fighting for you. He is the King who makes paths in the mighty waters and brings down every power that stands against His purpose for your life. Trust in Him, for He is faithful and mighty to save.
Give Him praises. Power be with you
