That’s right!

In Jesus Kingdom, everyone will be required to keep the Feast of Tabernacles, and all of God’s other commanded Holy Days.

Background on the Feast of Tabernacles

The Feast of Tabernacles begins on the Israel calendar during the seventh month on the fifteenth day of the month. The first day is a Sabbath or Holy Day, and the feast last for seven days (see Leviticus 23:34-36).

What’s the purpose of all of this?

Well, there are twofold purposes and representations during this feast. Number one, this feast represents the gathering of God’s people to Him. When Jesus returns, He will gather His elect from all corners of the earth.

See Matthew 24

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Lord’s people will be gathered unto Him, in the wilderness before going into the promise land.

The second representation is, God has made man to dwell in a fleshly body for seven days. This is why this feast is called the feast of tabernacles, it is also called the ingathering, or feast of booths.

Booths represent temporary dwellings. Paul spoke about this often in his writings, that he awaits his tabernacle in heaven.

This was not to say, or does not mean his house in heaven, but his new body, the eternal spirit body and not one of flesh and blood. This will be made clearer during the eighth day feast coming up soon.

After seven days, we will be transformed into the eternal beings we were created to become. For both of the things this feast represents, we should be glad and happy and thankful when it comes around.

In Jesus Kingdom, Zechariah wrote that this feast will still be a requirement as I spoke earlier, implicating that it is still required today.

See Zechariah 14

16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

All the nations left after the big war, will come up to Jerusalem from year to year to see Jesus and keep the feast of tabernacles. Who knows there may be a Tabernacles in 2079 with the Lord in Jerusalem … and don’t get snazzy and think you won’t have to come up during Jesus reign on the earth.

Check this out…

17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

This indicates the serious nature and importance of these feast to the God of Israel.

It is truly a feast. In fact, it is a harvest, and much of what people do during Thanksgiving in America, they should do during this seven day feast.
