This is a hard-hitting scripture when it comes to the validity of Jesus Christ as the actual Son of God. In Proverbs chapter 30, the writer asks a series of questions, and then ends with the biggest question!
Welcome to BibleStudyMinistry.com – A Supplement of sorts for Bible readers who don’t get to read as much as they’d like …
The writer asked who has ascended up into heaven, or came down (descended)? Who has gather the wind into his fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? Now we know these questions are not for man.
They are for beings stronger than mankind; they are for God. The question is then asked, what is his name, and what is his son’s name? Can you tell?
This has many levels of depths or “deepness,” I won’t go into all of them in this Sabbath Day sitting. However, to begin with, the ‘Almighty Figure‘ the writer is speaking of that established all the ends of the earth, has a name.
On top of having a name, this All-Powerful Being has a Son, who has a name. And the writer questions us, to tell the Almighty’s name and His Son’s name.
What Is His Son’s Name?
In St. John chapter 5:43 – Jesus said ‘I am come in my Father’s name‘ … Jesus did not come bearing His own name. He, instead, came bearing His Father’s actual name.
4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Understand that every word of God is pure and it is a shield to those of us that put our trust in Him. What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if you can tell!
