In this very brief bit of wisdom, we desire you to remember and keep this in your mental arsenal. It is essential to know how something works or operates. In order to have know-how, one must be prudent! Let go to Proverbs chapter 13:
16, Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.
Prudent people deal with knowledge. They deal with things they know about; they speak on things they have knowledge of. If they don’t know about it, they gain the knowledge to become prudent. The fool speaks on everything, laying open his folly to the world.
17, A wicked messenger falls into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.
We used to call this “hero ball” or the “suck up.” The wicked messenger falls into misconduct because these types of people are always trying to play hero ball. They want to be important by bringing a message or news. So they may spice it up or twist a few things to get a few extra “oohs” and “ahhhs” from the story …
…and some “she didn’t say that girl, for real,” so everyone knows them as the person with the “spicy news” or message. They typically fall into mischief because of their lies or ad libs. They are biblically-termed wicked for this.
Every Prudent man dealeth with knowledge
On the other end of this, a faithful ambassador is health. Why is such a person health? Primarily because they are faithful. You can count on them. They will only report what they were given. Remember the Holy Anointed Son, He would constantly say that He is only going to speak that which His Father has given Him to speak on, and not a word more.
The Anointed Son is the Faithful Ambassador, and He has taught us how to be faithful ambassadors also. Do likewise, as the Captain of our Salvation has laid before us. Always remember, prudent men (and women) deal with know how, with knowledge!
