Joshua Chapter 19 Summary: Chapter Summaries

Joshua chapter 19 summary began with the second lot of land, which fell on the children of Simeon. Their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah. They had a total of seventeen cities within their villages, including one known as Ashan.

The third lot come up for the children of Zebulun. They had twelve cities in their villages, including one known as Bethlehem. The fourth lot fell on the children of Issachar.

They had a total of sixteen cities in their villages. The fifth lot came to the children of Asher. Their coast included the strong city of Tyre, for a total of twenty-two cities in their villages.

Joshua Chapter 19 Summary

The sixth lot fell to the children of Naphtali, which had nineteen cities in their villages. Finally for this chapter, the seventh lot fell on the children of Dan. They felt their inheritance was too little, so they went out and fought against Leshem and took it to increase their land and inheritance.

We are not going to call that looking a gift horse in the mouth; nope we aren’t. The children of Israel made an end to dividing the land for their inheritance. They also gave inheritance to Joshua and his house.
