Greetings and welcome to BSM, an acronym for BibleStudyMinistry.com, in this study, we will give you added insight on why the nation of Israel split into two kingdoms, what it means, and some vital events to help you understand our world and the children of Israel today.
When the children of Israel divided as a kingdom after the days of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel, this was a major shift in events. Some of the things that took place even the top scholars, pastors, and clergymen do not know or understand the significance of it all. Let’s look into it.
Why did this take place?
In short, the sins of Solomon, king of Israel.
King Solomon loved many strange women (1st Kings 11). Because of this (among other things), the ALMIGHTY began to give him outspoken enemies.
During the time of his kingdom when he obeyed the CREATOR, his enemies stayed silent. When he disobeyed, his enemies were outspoken.
Hadad the Edomite Rose Up Against Solomon
An enemy named Hadad, who was from the royal family of Edom (1st Kings 11:14-22), rose up in Rezon. He was the servant of King Hadadezer of Zobah. Rezon became the ruler of Syria (Syria is the same as Aram. Who was the son of Shem and who the Aramaic language is named after).
However, King Solomon’s ultimate enemy would come from within; an industrious young man named Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda.
He was a mighty man of valor from the house of Joseph and Solomon had made him overseer of the house of Joseph.
FAST-FORWARD:
After the death of Solomon, his son Rehoboam took over the kingdom, but failed to adhere to the request and desires of the people.
The Kingdom began to have a tax burden and labor burden they wanted some relief in.
Because he failed to meet their request, a full eleven tribes of the twelve tribes of Israel departed from the Kingdom of Judah.
They chose to follow after Jeroboam of the house of Joseph. The only tribe Rehoboam was left with was the tribe of his own, Judah.
This is why the world at large really only knows about the “Jews” which is shorthand for Judah; it’s because this tribe remained as the tribe the Holy Messiah would come from and through.
Goodbye Levites
Shortly after Jeroboam’s ascend (as king of Israel), he fired all of the Levites who were priests to the tribes of Israel. This caused many of the Levites to return back to the kingdom of Judah.
Also, Jeroboam did not esteem the tribe of Benjamin, his brother, as Judah and Benjamin had become very closely acquainted (their royal connection being the house of Saul and the house of David).
Therefore, the house of Benjamin also returned back to the kingdom of Judah. Rehoboam and Jeroboam warred all their days. Good ole civil war. The long-term effects of the split of the kingdom were harsh.
Jeroboam turned everyone in his kingdom from the CREATOR of Israel and they served Baal; this was in general as many of the tribes still kept the ways of the CREATOR of Israel.
Assyria Takes Samaria
When the Assyrians took Samaria (capital of Israel of the northern kingdom), the Ten Tribes, as they became known, were no longer a government or kingdom.
Many of the citizens who were not carried away lived among the kingdom of Judah.
Judah did not learn much from the Ten Tribes and was also carried away as Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon took Judah and Jerusalem.
The prophet Jeremiah among other prophets begged the people of Judah to keep the commands of the ALMIGHTY; they would not and thus their kingdom was also demolished.
However, before they were carried away, certain officials and people of Judah and Israel escaped.
Haiti and Afghanistan Examples
Did you see what went on in Haiti and to the Haitian people in 2021 in the news? What about in Afghanistan (also in 2021), and other nations where the stability in leadership has weakened?
What do the people do? They flee.
This is what took place in Jerusalem also in their destruction…
This is why this is so important today to all Bible Believers and Followers of Christ!
PAY ATTENTION!! ALERT, ALERT, PAY ATTENTION ALERT!
A man named Elasah left Jerusalem with his family before Jerusalem was sacked by the Babylonians…
Elasah eventually, was led by the ALMIGHTY across the waters to what we call the Americas today.
First, who is Elasah?
Go to Jeremiah 29:1 Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;
[2] (After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;) [3] By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,
[4] Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon; [5] Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
[6] Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.
The Father Used Elasah to Keep the Purity of Israel’s Records
A man named Elasah left Jerusalem with his family and eventually, the ALMIGHTY led him across the waters to what we call the Americas today.
Why is he important?
Elasah had his name changed to Lehi. Lehi is the patriarch of the people of Nephi.
Elasah, as it was written in Jeremiah, was the son of Shaphan, who came from a family of scribes who worked in the kingdom of Judah. They were from the tribe of Joseph, by the seed of Manasseh!

Sticks of Joseph and Judah
This is the Stick of Joseph, and the Holy Bible is the Stick of Judah, and they are coming together in these days.
And what it means is that the records, chronicles, reports, accounts, or documents; however you like to say it, of the people of Israel has also been documented by the tribes here in the Americas.
They kept their records!
Then you will understand the times we are in now better as you read Ezekiel chapter 37, which we’ll end this video on!
Bringing the Records and Tribes Together
Ezekiel 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. [13] And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
[14] And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord. [15] The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,
[16] Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: [17] And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
[18] And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? [19] Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
What Does it All Mean?
What this means, is that at the time of the end of Babylon the Great, the Father will begin to gather His people. He will do so by gathering the tribe of Joseph and opening the Stick of Joseph to them and bringing them together with the tribes of Judah, with the Stick of Judah.
The stick of Judah is the Bible or Biblical records and testimonies of Jesus Christ. Whereas the stick of Joseph is the Book of Mormon. We call the Book of Mor (because we get more testimonies of Jesus Christ).
In the end times, the Father said He would bring both of these testimonies together in Christ’s hand. And this would be the sign to His people, who are the children of Israel. That He is beginning to gather them again from their long dispersion.
