Summary of Verse
5 – God called the light day and darkness was called night. The evening and morning were the first day.
The ALMIGHTY gave the light a name, it was called “day” and the darkness was called “night.” The evening was the beginning of a full day. A full day consists of both night and day; when the sun supposedly goes down, the previous day ends and a new day begins! This is in contrast to the midnight start of a new day!
