Exodus Chapter 18 Summary

They all came to Moses to hear his judgment. Jethro quickly told Moses he would wear himself away and that he should set up a chain of command or authority. The father-in-law told the prophet of the Lord to only judge the high and difficult matters.

His junior officers could handle lower matters. Moses had to select worthy men, and teach them the law, as well as allow them to rule over 50 people. This way Moses himself did not have to judge every matter.

Moses received the counsel and implemented it. This is the summary of chapter 18 in the book of Exodus. Glory be to God!
