Daily Wisdom Bible Study – Evil Men Understand Not Judgment
1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
Stand in a crowd of people and just start yelling and running, and typically what you’ll see is the crowd will begin to run as well although there is absolutely nothing to run and yell about. Why is this? Fear! More to this scripture, the wicked are in fear because they know they live evilly and thus assume other people are as wicked and evil as they. This is why they remain in fear. The righteous are bold, they are bold as a lion; as the Lion of Judah!
Evil Men Understand Not Judgment
2 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
When a nation elects a wise and understanding ruler, it will go well for that nation. This does not say too much for much the nations of the world today!
3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
In the inner city, the poor oppresses the poor. One man robs another man who just robbed another man. It is altogether vanity and pointless, like a rain that harvested no food.
4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
It only makes sense that if one does not keep God’s laws, they will generally be more attracted and happy with another who does not do righteously as well. They will even praise the wicked, wickedly or without knowledge. However, those who keep the law, assert themselves against the wicked.
Evil Men Understand Not Judgment
5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.
I never forget a young girl I once knew telling me she did not believe the Bible was fair. She said, how can God put an adulterous in the same “boat” with a murderer? I won’t say she was evil, because she was a nice young person, simply underdeveloped in her spiritual understanding. However, evil people do not understand God’s judgment, at times they don’t even understand man’s judgement (just watch a few daytime court shows). When we seek God, we begin to understand all things! This concludes our study for today; we hope you’ve been edified in Jesus name!
