Some people cannot bear the thought of being instructed, predominantly when they are bent on doing folly. I pray it is not so with you or me, forever. We learned or reviewed last time that wisdom will laugh at our calamity if we do not take heed to her instructions. We’ll continue from there.

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
When negative things happen to those who avoided wise counsel, when they begin to see the repercussions of what their bad decisions is purchasing them, they will call on God. They will call for wisdom, but she will not answer, they will seek her, but they will not find her.
Wisdom: “I Will Not Answer”
In essence, it is like she will say, “I never knew you.”
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:
Why would she do this? It is simple, it is because they hated knowledge. They did not choose the fear of the Lord, which is to depart from evil, therefore they are receiving their desolation and destruction.
30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
Avoiding wisdom’s reproof, and despising her counsel will leave one to eat the fruit of their own ways. At best, our own ways can barely get us a cup of coffee, but God’s ways lead to eternal life.
I Will Not Answer Says Wisdom
Let us all keep God’s ways before our faces, and not be filled with our own devices.
Praise God in the name of His Son Jesus and bless Him.
God bless you also.
