And the books were opened series continues with The Book of the Generations of Shem
Genesis 11:10 KJV
[10] These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:
Shem’s accounts of his generations would be separate from those of his brothers, quite naturally. After the Tower of Babel events, the families separated and went in different directions. This account of Shem introduces us to family heads, Arphaxad, Salah, Eber, and Peleg.
Although Eber had Joktan and Peleg, in this chapter, the son Peleg’s offspring is heeded. From there, we are introduced to Nahor (Naor), the father of Terah (Tera), the father of Abram. Once again, the stories are hacked, and all we have is the pedigree or household head order. Part of that household order will direct us to the generations of a man name Tera.
