Here is Wisdom:
O Almighty, Creator of my ancestors and Eternal Father of mercy, who created all things with your word, and through your wisdom, ordained man to have dominion over the creatures you made, to govern the world with fairness and righteousness, and to carry out justice with an upright heart—grant me wisdom, who sits beside your throne, and don’t cast me aside from your children.
For I am your servant, the son of your handmaid, and I am a fragile person with little time, too young to fully grasp judgment and laws.
No matter how perfect a person may be among others, without Your wisdom, they will amount to nothing and be of no significance.
Send Wisdom to Our Leaders
You have chosen me to be the king of Your people and the judge of Your sons and daughters. You have commanded me to build a temple on Your holy mountain, and an altar in the city where You dwell—a reflection of the sacred tabernacle You prepared from the very beginning.
And wisdom was with You, discerning Your works and present when You created the world. She knew what pleased You and what was right according to Your commandments.
Please send her down from Your holy heavens, from the throne of Your glory, so that she may be with me, guiding my efforts, so I can understand what pleases You.
Slightly, Do We Discern The Things of the Earth
She knows and understands everything, and she will guide me wisely in all I do. Wisdom keeps me strong with her power. With her help, my work will be pleasing to You, and I will be able to judge Your people fairly, making me worthy to sit in my father’s place.
Who can truly understand the counsel of the Almighty? Who can grasp the will of the Eternal Father? The thoughts of mortal men are flawed, and our plans are often uncertain. Our perishable bodies weigh down our souls. Our earthly existence burdens our minds, which are constantly pondering so many things.
We barely manage to understand the things here on earth, and even those take effort to figure out. So how can anyone know what’s in heaven? Who can grasp Your counsel unless You grant wisdom and send Your Holy Spirit from above?
In this way, the lives of those on earth were transformed. People learned what pleases You and were saved through wisdom.
