Questions and Answers from BSM Newsletter
Today’s question is:
Why is the Bible is Reliable?
This is a great question and should be asked by anyone serious about learning the Bible and using it as their source for life. There are countless forms of information we call books that reveal much knowledge wisdom and understanding to us.
The purpose of these books is to give us information so that we can live a life that makes us happy. We can learn to feel a strong sense of purpose. If we were very spiritually intelligent we would be able to do that simply by listening to nature (the Spirit).
We’d pass on good feelings to others with smiles, love, care, and with compassion. We’d do this regardless of the color, ethnicity, and cultural background we come from. Then here is an enormous fact; in the world we live in, there are people who do not care so much or at all about your happiness.
Why is the Bible is Reliable?
They are not compassionate to your suffering, they regard their ethnic background or their family units greater than they care or regard yours. And because of this polarization in our society, we are subject to become like the people we are around.
Unfortunately, we all have sloppy family members, associates, and social peers. And it’s from them we pick up bad habits, bad ideologies, and bad behavior. We also pick these things up from world institutions of learning, such as schools and churches. These institutions were created on both sides (secularly and spiritually or religiously) to help us.
These religions and schools created doctrines that were are originally created for us to learn how to love each other. They were supposed to teach us how to treat each other with kindness, compassion, and respect. However, these same institutions and the people who run them, do not (always) have your best interest.
Sloppy Family Members
They allow the same sloppy family members, associates, and social peers to hijack the leadership positions in these institutions. Worse than that, they do this with the idea and plan to rule over you. They take the books and the records, such as the Bible, and they teach something completely different out of them.
So instead of religions uniting people and bringing everyone together, religions do the exact opposite. They divide people and create wars. Nevertheless, sit down and read your own Bible or Quran or any other book of “Godly” principles. What you will find is at the core of it is Christ’s message, which is to love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Because that is the true essence of the message in the Bible regardless of all the other negative stories in there. Also, regardless of the precepts of men who change the simplicity of the word into dogmas, rituals, and false doctrines.
Love Your Neighbor
The main essence of the Bible is for you to love your Creator who created you with all your heart, mind, and soul. To best do this or display and showed it, is done by how much you love your neighbor. And that alone is why the Bible is very reliable.
Now if you would take it a step further, there are omens or prophecies in the Bible. These omens tell us what will happen from the beginning to the end. And throughout the course of history, these things have taken place as prophesied. This is another reason why the Bible is reliable.
Thank you for this question, it was certainly a good question and I hope whoever asked this question believes the reliability of their Bible. It will come in handy in the next few years.
I pray this has been edifying in the name of the Son of God.
