1 Samuel chapter 21 summary will continue David’s departure from Saul as his life was sought after. This chapter will also introduce why NBA great, Shaquille O’Neal uses the popular phrase, “snitches get stitches.”
Let’s get into it, shall we? It began with David as he came upon a priest of Nob (Nob is a town), and the priest’s name was Ahimelech. Ahimelech was pretty apprehensive to meet with David, even afraid, because David was alone.
David asked Ahimelech to give him and his men bread, but there was no “common bread,” only bread for priests. Unless they’d all been without women, they couldn’t eat, and they all had because they were on the run.
1 Samuel Chapter 21 Summary
Things seemed okay until one little problem popped up on the screen. One of Saul’s servants was there, and he was an Edomite, a chief herdsman of Saul. David kind of figured this would be a problem down the road.
Nevertheless, David got the sword of Goliath and left Ahimelech’s presence and went into the city or country of Gath (where Goliath was from). The people recognize him immediately so David began to play like he was a mad lunatic, out of his mind; and they fell for it and let him go.
David had some sense, and it helped him get through a lot of situations. Achish, the king of Gath, let him go because David was a lunatic and mad. That is how the chapter concluded, and this is the summary of 1 Samuel chapter 21.
Glory to the HIGHEST.
