1, And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

2, In that day shall the branch of the Almighty be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Akobe.

3, And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Siyoni (Jerusalem), and he that remaineth in Jerusalema, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalema:

4, When the Almighty shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Siyoni, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

5, And the Almighty will create upon every dwelling place of mount Siyoni, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

6, And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Isaiah chapter 4 summary…

…continues from the grim picture painted in chapter 3. The state of Juda and Jerusalem was harsh because of such rebellion against the Almighty’s ways. Chapter 4 continued to paint a vivid picture of a future time when the consequences of Akobe’s waywardness will be felt acutely.

In this vision, seven women grasp a single man, seeking marriage with this man to escape disgrace. They are willing to provide their food and clothing, emphasizing their desire for a husband’s protection and honor.

During this time of desperation, a remnant of Akobe will begin to recognize the importance of aligning with the Creator. The title “Branch of the Almighty” is a symbol of their connectedness and their commitment to Him. Cleansed from their sins and purged from their impurities, they will dwell in the holy presence of the Almighty.

Refuge As In Egypt

The vision goes on to describe a shelter from the scorching heat of the day and a refuge from storms and rain. This refuge is seen as a cloud by day and a fire by night. This is reminiscent of the divine guidance experienced during the house of Akobes’ exodus from Egypt. This divine protection signifies that the Creator’s presence will be with the faithful remnant.

Isaiah chapter 4 highlights the importance of spiritual renewal and returning to the Creator’s ways. It emphasizes the contrast between a desperate, dishonored state and the benefits of divine protection and guidance. This chapter serves as a reminder of the significance of aligning with the Creator. This alignment leads to a future of honor and shelter in His presence. This is the summary of Isaiah chapter 4; Glory to the King of Heaven and Earth.
