We’re back with Deuteronomy Chapter 26 summary that began with instructions for Israel. What they are supposed to do upon coming into the land given to them by their God, were these instructions. They were commanded to gather the first fruit of the earth and put it in a basket to give to the priests.
The priests kept the fruit before the altar (very symbolic). Then the individual was to rundown or recite the history of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. They started by stating a Syrian was ready to perish, but God kept him and made him into a nation, which is Israel.
Deuteronomy Chapter 26 Summary
After they brought the tithes in the first three years to grace the Levite, stranger, fatherless, and widow, then they could fill their own Barnes.
Then they would avouch or affirmed the God of Israel as their God to walk in His ways and obey His voice and if so He would also avouch Israel to be His peculiar people. If they did this, God would make them high above all nations in praise, name, and honor. This is chapter 26 of Deuteronomy summary.
