[1] And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel. [2] Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beer-sheba.
[3] And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment. [4] Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, [5] And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

One of the forefather’s early crimes (sins) was idol worship and the desire to be like the rest of the nations. Idolatry and being like the nations is to be separated from the MOST-HIGH, and away from HIS order. This is to be away from His ordinances, His Law, and the Order of Melchizedek.
Samuel the prophet rehearsed to the people the manner of the king they will have presided over them.
1st Samuel 8:11,13 KJV
[11] And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. [13] Also he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.
This demoted the world’s leading women in various different fields and industries to cooks, bakers, and confectionaries. This brought them away from the desires of their own husbands, to looking after the desire of the king, and the king’s men.

In order to build a nation, it starts with the men. The men must be fitly joined by a virtuous woman. A man should have a pleasing wife so they may bring up righteous children. This must all be done decently and in order; in the order must all things be done!
