To Be Ruler in Israel

Someone is subject and prophesied to become ruler in Israel. And while it is written all over the Bible who this is, it is still not a common science among the masses. It is common among the elite and biblically educated, and that is why you’re here.

Welcome to BibleStudyMinistry.com (BSM), your online bible study supplement source. Today we’re still exploring the concept of having power over the nations as mentioned by Jesus Christ! It is part of our study topic features, where we study a topic in the Bible one scripture at a time. Let’s get back to today’s study topic!

In the book of the prophet or visionaire Micah, it is told to us that the judge of Israel will be hit with a rod upon the cheek. It also tells us that Bethlehem Ephratah, one of the smallest groups in the tribe of Judah, nevertheless within them will come forward the One who is to be ruler in Israel.

This to-be-ruler, has been around from old, even from everlasting. The to-be-ruler is also the one who is the Anointed from the Heavenly Kingdom.

In short, this is simply Jesus the Christ, but to substantiate that claim, we turn to the book of Matthew, at chapter 2. Matthew recounts the days of the birth of Jesus, which took place during the days of Herod the great.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea. Wise men from the east came to Jerusalem asking about the prophesied King of the Jews. The prophesied King of the Jews, was recently born and of course it bothered the current king of Judaea, Herod, to hear this.

Herod gathered all the chief priests, the scribes, the pharisees to him and demanded them to tell him where the Messiah would be born.

Snitches Get Stitches…

Today it is very commonly known that “snitches get stitches,” but the chief priests, scribes, and pharisees would have all gotten stitches and more if they didn’t spill the beans. They didn’t waste time either; these knowledgeable men went right to the scripture in Micah and quoted it to Herod.

They said, “In Bethlehem of Judaea; for it is written by the prophet, and you Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, are you not the least among the princes of Juda, but out of you will come a Governor that will rule my people Israel.”

So the to-be-ruler in Israel is Jesus the Holy Messiah from God, and He will rule the earth with a rod of iron, and as we continue in Power Over the Nations study topic, we’ll learn He will have a lot of help.
