A Good King Requires Order and Obedience

A Good King Requires Order and Obedience

When God delivered Israel out of Egypt, God was their King. What a king does is takes care of His own people who choose to serve under the administration and in the territory ruled by the king.

God went into Egypt and staged a war, destroying Egypt to the ground forcing them to capitulate the release of His people held captive there. As God delivers them, some do not know God, they just know the God of their fathers promised deliverance.

A Good King Requires Order and Obedience

Therefore, the King had to introduce Himself and the Divine Order of His Kingdom. He promised them land, a land where they would not lack anything; they only had to keep order and obey. Moses writes in Deuteronomy 8:

11 Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:

Moses, the spokesman, and intercessor for the people to the King wrote they must not forget their God and in keeping His commands, judgments, statutes, and ways.

18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

The spokesman says to remember and consider that God, your King, gives you the power to get wealth so that He can establish His covenant He swore to your fathers. The King brought them out of Egypt primarily to keep a promise, plus He loved their forefathers.

The King is Loyal but …

19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

Moses writes that if the subjects at all forget their God and go after other gods to serve them and worship, he testifies against them that they will certainly perish at the hands of the King.

The King, the God of Israel, demands obedience and order in His Kingdom. This is for today, and this is for all times, including His coming Kingdom to this earth. Praise Yah, Hallelujah in Jesus name!
