Daily Wisdom: The Tillage of the Poor

This is why Jesus spoke heavily on helping the poor, because people naturally have little care for the poor. On top of people’s natural lack of care for the poor, people don’t know the poor are being attacked on every side by the oppressive ruling rich of the world.

Today briefly, we are looking at one verse in Proverbs, take a look below!

23 Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.

Much food is in the tillage of the poor? What does this mean? I had to look into a couple of different translations to get a grip on this one and what seemed to make the most sense was this.

The Tillage of the PoorThere is enough land to be worked to produce enough food. We can produce enough food in the earth to make sure no one is ever hungry. But why don’t we do this?

The Tillage of the Poor

We don’t because unjust men keep that land from being worked so the poor can be doomed and destroyed. This is done to keep up our ecosystem, which is an economic-system. The land is destroyed for want of judgment.

In other words, they destroy the poor because they want the judgment of God upon them.

Let’s be wise and help the poor as the scripture says! Pslam 41

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

Stay mindful of the poor. If you can’t help personally find a great organization that can and is.
