1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Almighty.
2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Almighty of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Akobe; The Ruler of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 For the Almighty hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy Creator.
7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Almighty thy Redeemer.
9 For this is as the waters of Noa unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noa should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Almighty that hath mercy on thee.
11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
13 And all thy children shall be taught of the Almighty; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Almighty, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Almighty.

The Almighty’s Covenant of Protection and Peace
Isaiah chapter 54 summary; the chapter unfolds as a profound message of hope and assurance for the House of Akobe, a people who had endured trials and tribulations. The chapter can be divided into three distinct parts, each bearing its unique significance.
Part 1: Divine Protection (Verses 1-8)
The opening verses of Isaiah 54 lay the foundation of the chapter. It’s a beautiful foundation illustrating the Almighty’s unwavering commitment to protect His people. The imagery employed is that of a barren woman who, through divine intervention, will bear many children. This symbolism represents the House of Akobe. They were once desolate and afflicted, but now destined for growth and prosperity. All fo this under the Almighty’s watchful eye.
The promise of divine protection is vividly described, akin to a covenant made with Noa after the flood. The Almighty assures His people that His kindness and compassion will never depart from them. He pledges, “For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you.” This divine love and protection is an unshakable foundation. Coming out of captivity this foundation is needed. It is special for the House of Akobe as they face an uncertain world.
Part 2: A New Jerusalem of Peace (Verses 9-17)
The second section of the chapter unveils the Almighty’s grand plan for peace through the establishment of a New Jerusalem. Here, the Creator envisions a city adorned with precious stones and foundations of sapphires. What beauty; it reflects the radiant beauty and tranquility of this New Jerusalem. This very city is also described in the book of Revelations. The city is characterized by righteousness, devoid of oppression and fear.
In this renewed covenant of peace, the Almighty promises to be the architect of this magnificent city. He declares, “I will make your pinnacles of agate, your gates of carbuncles, and all your wall of precious stones.” This vision represents not only the physical restoration of Jerusalem but also the spiritual. It speaks to the spiritual revival and renewal of the entire House of Akobe.
Part 3: The Almighty’s Eternal Covenant (Verses 18-17)
The final verses of Isaiah 54 solidify the everlasting nature of the Almighty’s covenant with His people. Just as He once swore never to flood the earth again, He now reaffirms His commitment to peace and righteousness.
“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper,” declares the Almighty. This is so assuring to the House of Akobe. They are assured of their invincibility when aligned with His Holy purpose.
The chapter culminates with a profound affirmation of the Almighty’s love, promising that His righteousness shall prevail. It serves as a testament to the enduring nature of His covenant. This is a covenant that brings protection, peace, and eternal blessings to His people. This is the summary of Isaiah chapter 54; Glory to the King of Peace.
